I was wondering, is their any hardware out there that can enclose an existing hard drive, yet still run my linux os? My title says it all really. Im looking for something like a mac mini...without the hard drive. Any advice would be great thank you

Are you looking for a Small Form Factor computer?
Something like these (http://us.shuttle.com/barebone/BareboneHome.html)?

I have seen several companies that do a mac mini type box. just google for them. If you get a mac mini cheap, you always load linux on it also. I still run ubuntu on my imac.

Newegg has a real cool mini PC called the "Shuttle X2700N Intel Atom 230 (1.6GHz) 1GB DDR2 120GB Intel GMA 950 with Foresight Linux". About the size of a Mini and it already has linux installed and comes with all the heardware like graphics, HD, DVD-RW, sound, etc.. It's $350 though.
I've seen used Shuffle SFF PC's for like $80-$90 on ebay. Also, most of the major manufacturers like HP, Compaq, IBM, Gateway, Dell all make sff pc's that are bigger than a Mac Mini but still small. You can buy them for about $30 on ebay with like a 1.5 gig CPU.
