Hi. I already have 4gb OCZ PC2-8500 in my PC. I have windows Vista 64bit. All i want to know is;
1) Is it better if i get 2gb more? and
2) I am getting OCZ 2gb PC2-9200 for very cheap so i am planning to buy it. My question is will the be a problem in my system as i have 4gb of PC2-8500 and 2gb of PC2-9200. Will there be any compatability and operation issues as thier speeds are different.
Thanx.

Does your motherboard support both types?
There is a small possibility that the faster RAM would not work, but it is small. However if it does work, the 9200 will run at the speed of the 8500.

Thanx. i have the Gigabyte X48-DQ6 Mother board (http://www.giga-byte.com/Products/Motherboard/Products_Overview.aspx?ProductID=2763).
It supports DDR2 1200. So would it work. And is it good for my system to get a of 6gb ram. thanx.

Since you're running a 64bit operating system you'll be able to take advantage of all 6gb, so yeah, 6gb is a very good thing!

and you say the higer speed of the other 2gb ram wont be a problem right.
Another question. If i buy Kingstom HyperX PC2-8500 2 gb memory would i be any problem in my system as i would have 2 DIMMS of OCZ and 2 of Kingston. They have the same configuration but just diferent companies.
Thanx.

Right, most likely, there is a small chance that it wouldn't, I'd say about 10%, but you wont know unless you try. Just remember the faster RAM will downgrade to the speed of the slower RAM.

Mixing brands is something that I try to avoid doing but their is no definitive reason not to.
