The superhero that I loved the most in my childhood was Batman, especially because of the old cartoon. Then I started reading the "Batman Adventures" comics, also inspired by the classic animated series, and boy those days were great.
Oddly enough, I'm not into Batman comics at all now. Sure, I picked up a couple of stories, like "Hush" and "Arkham Asylum", I was reading books with Batman being part of a team, but I wasn't interested in current Batman history or his Family.
Weirder than that is that the current big, confusing Batman story: "Batman R.I.P" draws all my attention to Batman, ten times more than the exceptional movie did. I'm like: "There will be no Batman anymore? (even if Bruce Wayne doesn't die it's clear that he won't be Bats) What will happen to Batman? To Nightwing? To Robin?". And suddenly I'm interested the family. Because, disastrous or very good, this story will have a huge impact on Batman. Because, terrible or exceptional, I want to read "Batman R.I.P". No, more than that. I want it ALL!
I want to read the story arcs just before that, I want to read Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, Batman and the Outsiders. I'm crazy like that.
But I can't find a way to organize myself, and I don't know in which issues which arcs are and I don't know when to start, what to do, where to go.
So, do you know a website that organizes the batman family isssues in arcs and stories? There was Sequart continuity pages, and that site was very good, but the latest issues aren't there.
Please help me picking Batman comics, at least the ones with Bats, if the entire family is too big. OH and God help me avoid the huge spoilers flying around till I finish the R.I.P too. Thanks for editing this post's and the other one's title!
