I just got done with a move, and as I was unpacking my video games I thought about whether I should still collect them or start selling them off to get a little money back.
My question to the community is: After you beat a game, do you sell it or do you keep it around for a while?

I keep them, any money I'd get back would be considerbly less then what I paid for them in most cases, plus in 50 years, they may be worth something then.

I used to sell them, but trade-in prices have been horrible unless you wait for a trade deal or something, and even then, they're still in the crapper. If you really need money find someone one-to-one who wants the game and give it to them for a decent price, eBay maybe, whatever. Trade them on Goozex or something, that would be the way to go there.
Personally though, I don't get rid of anything anymore, because I started to develop a problem remembering whether I owned something or not still. Or I would go looking for a game I thought I had, but I had traded it. So I said to hell with it and I'm keeping everything.

I think it depends. If it's a game you can see yourself returning to some day I'd say keep it. However, I'm noticing a lot of games I used to own becoming available for digital download especially on say the Wii. If you got the room to spare, couldn't really hurt but I'd say go for as much as you can. Try out ebay, half.com, something along those lines and try to get cash. Credit you'd get say trading in at Gamestop is just pathetic sometimes.

If it isn't something I think I'll replay, then sell it.

I sell some games, but not all. I have no choice, as right now I don't have enough disposable income to support my gaming needs. I used to keep everything, but stopped around the time the Wii game out, when I got rid of about 60 Xbox games, and about 20 GameCube games. Anything older than that I kept, though I've been re-selling Wii and PS3 and PSP games to friends or strangers locally or on eBay, with a rare trade-in.

I wish I could add something useful to this. I bought countless nes, snes, 64, gb, gbc, gba, and gamecube titles (oh and ps1/ps2 duh) and I have nothing to show for it. Small stack of wii/few gc/360 games on my entertainment center. All in storage somewhere or something. Think of all those dollars gone and good times spent. Oh the hours I put into games like Banjo Kazooie, with friends.
