So we're two episodes into the newest Batman series, and I have to say I really like it. I feel like the animation style is like a mash up of the old Adam West Batman, combined with the original Batman the Animated Series and the plot is something I'd expect to find in comics. I'm also really diggin' the team-up aspect of the series, taking a cue from the series' namesake, DC's The Brave and the Bold. So far Batman has teamed up with the new Blue Beetle, Green Arrow and Plastic Man. I'm curious what you guys think.

I've heard it's really aimed at children. Even more so than The Batman.

Its not Batman the Animated Series by an strech, but I think comic fans will love it. It is very much in the same vein as the Brave and the Bold comic, just focusing mainly on Batman.

I hate when people complain about a Batman cartoon being "too childish". How the hell else are children going to get introduced to Batman if there's nothing with him marketed towards them? Frank Miller's not gonna get a Saturday morning cartoon show. Just accept that its not made with you in mind specifically, you can enjoy your mature Batman every month in the comics.

Don't see what's so wrong with that.

Eso, its one thing to say "Oh this show has a more childish bent, this isn't really my cup of tea but whatever" its another to get upset at that fact like "Awesome! A Batman show -- hey wait its for kids?! Nuts to this I wanted to see him crack someones face open".

The Timm/Dini version of Batman was a one in a million occurrence of a show that was as enjoyable to children as it was to adults, you should kind of expect that most other cartoons are probably aimed at a younger market, not be ticked that you're not getting your Batman.

I think it's great if there is a quality Batman show aimed entirely at kids, I just have no intention of watching it. Why should I? The OP asked if anyone was watching it, I said I didn't think I would because I've heard this is a very childish Batman cartoon. That doesn't mean I actively dislike it or am upset by that. I'm content with getting to read Batman, if I don't enjoy watching then so be it. So long as the show is doing someone some good.

i saw the plastic man esp. it wasn't too bad. fun superhero stuff.

oh btw guys. made for children and childish are two different things. the show is aimed at children (as almost all cartoons are) but i didn't see batman throw a hissy fit.

if you are not doing anything on a friday and you like superhero stuff i say give it a try.
