OK people, let's hear/see your favorite Christmas songs!

This, in my opinion, blows everything else away. It's hard not to burst open with emotion after witnessing such a brilliant vocalist along with such a moving song! Watch this video and you'll see what I mean!

David Phelps - O Holy Night

Da Yoopers - Rusty Chevrolet

I seem to like the weird/funny/parody ones. I rather enjoy the Bob Rivers/Twisted Christmas cds.

There's also one titled It's Christmas And I wonder Where I am...that I can't recall who sings it, but I find it hilarious.

This is a great post.

The only things I do at Christmas now are watch Christmas Vacation and listen to what I call "Elvis sings Christmas." It was put out only about 15 years ago. Great tracks, all of them.

I remember I was 17, working at BK and gave my Mom the money to seek it out. She got me the whole deal. The one with the fold out display of Graceland at Christmas. Most of you are to young to remember, I am sure. Believe me, it is worth it. That and Sinatra and Dean Martin. I love their Christmas albums. Better memories.

That and spending time with my nieces. (Which I don't do nearly enough.) But, Christmas means little or nothing to me anymore. This coming Christmas is the ten year anniversary of my Mothers' dying on Christmas morning. (Not that the family is going to wear party hats or anything. That is not what I meant by anniversary.) I just don't have the heart for it anymore.

Even the upcoming Thanksgiving. I have several invites. (Brothers, other family, friends......GIRLS.) I just want to be alone and cook my own stuff. I am good at that BTW. I have pics to prove it too. It seems I don't have enough alone time anymore. When I don't have to be "on", entertaining everyone I know. I just wanna celebrate being left alone, or something. Especially this year.

But I digest. Enjoy your families. Celebrate being that great family while listening to Christmas music. That is most rewarding.

This is a very recent song by Michael Buble, I did not grow up with this, BUT, this really captures that feeling of Christmas perfectly.

The Dan Band put out a great Christmas album a couple years ago called "Ho". If you're wondering, "who the hell is The Dan Band?" you might recognize them as the wedding band from the beginning of Old School. Also you can't go wrong with the cheesily awesome Twisted Sister Christmas album. For some hip-hop flavor I would recommend finding the song, "All I want for Christams (is to get it Crunk)" by the Dirty Boyz. It samples the Nutcracker suite and has the most product placement you will ever hear in a song. Finally Trans Siberian Orchestra has a bunch of awesome Christmas songs.

Being a Brit, I do happen to know a rude version of The Twelve Days Of Christmas... which I wont post here for the obvious reasons!

But as for fave songs... seeing that I now live in Canada, 'I'll be home for Christmas' is a fave. Jonah Lewie's (spelling?) 'Stop The Cavalry' always gives me goosebumps, but my fave for getting on the party mood...

Slade's 'I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday!', and Wizard's "(So Here It Is) Merry Christmas'!

Typical Brit!
