View Full Version : I need a Juice substitute
It seems Juice no longer has support sites and it's been for freaking ever since they released a version beyond 2.2. I have problems with it updating and downloading from the feeds even though you can surf to the RSS page and see there has been updates. Sometimes the darn thing kicks off and starts downloading old episodes on its own. So I'm done with Juice the moment I can find a suitable replacement.
Anyone got one?

There's Hulu of course if you're in the US. If not, there's not really that much else that I know of.

Uh.... Juice =/= Hulu
Look, I suffered with Juice for a while too. I finally gave up and moved on to Miro. It takes up 200 megs of RAM while it's downloading videos, but I only leave it open long enough to download movies anyway.
If you don't want to go with Miro, you can try one of these (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_feed_aggregators#Media_aggregators).

I totally forgot about Miro. Wonder how that's doing these days?

I totally forgot about Miro. Wonder how that's doing these days?Still chugging along. So long as you have 2 gigs of RAM to run it.
I had completely forgotten about Miro since I didn't want a built in player to go along with it. I guess I can use it for download as long as I can configure the drop point for the files.
Thanks all

There is always iTunes.
There is always iTunes.
HERESY!!!!!!!
I only have itunes to sync my iphone and I don't run it all the time as it seems to be a bit of a memory hog. I want something that will play nice with WMP11 since I use it to stream to the xbox.

There is always iTunes.
I can't say I'm a big fan of iTunes past the auto music library organizing stuff. Especially in situations where you'd want podcasts in a dedicated directory outside of your music folder, iTunes becomes completely useless.

How about the Zune (zune.net)software, the videos usually default to Windows Media. It also does Xbox 360 sharing, it just does not recognize and import Quicktime media files.
For Rev3's high-def content there's Tversity (tversity.com), just import your feeds and it can stream content direct to the Xbox 360 or most any other device.
For an iTunes like feel, Songbird does do podcatching.
