Here in the States we're getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving Day! I thought that with this thread we can share our Turkey day plans, and if we're feeling cheery enough, some things that we're thankful for. Everyone's welcome to chime in!

Early tomorrow, I'll be off home to Indianapolis for several days for some much needed R&R. I've had a long school year, and life, as some of you know, has been pretty frustrating for me the last few weeks.

This Thanksgiving, I'm thankful for all the people who support me in my life. I'm also thankful to be in career field where I don't have to go day to day, wondering if I'll be able to pay my bills. Lastly, I'm thankful for comics, as they continue to entertain and inspire me everyday, and also for the amazing community in comics and the iFanbase.

So, what about you?

I'm game.

This Thanksgiving will be my first away from the family. I couldn't get the day before or after off so I am stuck 4 hours away. My roommate is having Thanksgiving at the house for his family so I may be doing it with them.

Sadly I'm thankful I have a stable job. I went so long after college being unemployed I'm happy to making some money.

Happy Turkey Day, iFanbase! I'm heading to my LCS today around noon to pick up my comics, then I and family will pack up the van and drive to southwest Virginia to celebrate Thanksgiving with my wife's family. I'm also taking a basketful of about 100 comics that I haven't read yet to read on my time away from home. It's a good time to get caught up on my comic reading that, sadly, has significantly slacked off in recent months because of illness.

My father-in-law wants to take the family to see the new James Bond flick. We'll probably go hiking. There will be plenty of time visiting with family. All-in-all, I'm really looking forward to it.

Cheers!

Today I will travel home to the great flat-lands of Ohio to spend the weekend with my parents. Sadly, my brother can’t be there, but I’m bringing my best friend to witness the insane festiveness that is my mother at the holidays. Apart from the time spent visiting friends and my many godbabies, the rest of the weekend will be spent lying around, knitting, watching movies, enjoying the holiday decorations, and having big fires in the fireplace.

I’m thankful for a wholly amazing and fulfilling job that I love in a city that I adore. For my health remaining in check. And for my hilarious and supportive friends and family, including all the ones I’ve found here!

Happy Thanksgiving!
