OK, I have appreciated the idea of Netflix, but would never had used it. I broke down and at least got set up with the two week trial after updating my 360. I figured if I have sworn off renting in the physical sense, I would check out the streaming. I'll tell ya' I am impressed.
Except for the, maybe thirty second wait for the video quality check and the buffering, it was great. That is a totally minimal complaint. Not a complaint at all really. There were no signs of artifacting, compression or anything. That was with a low level display. HD might be an issue but I can't speak on that.
BTW, I could only find my way to putting "Ratatouille" on my list. I will figure out the site better later. I can see why Jeff was so hyped up on that movie. Brad Bird and Disney/Pixar hit another one. Nearly as good as "The Incredibles".
I think I am gonna like, and keep Netflix. I didn't use the TRS code (or any) for the sign up, I don't even know if there was an opportunity, sorry guys.

I love it man, I have my Watch it now Q packed with stuff(few seasons)
I have had a few like 20-30 second wait times but sometimes it does it in about 10.
The only little complaint is i have to add stuff online.
I also watch on a 52inch 1080p Samsung LCD, looks pretty damn good honestly. Could be better but I dont complain at all about it.
The trs code thing was when you went to the site/trs or whatever and Didnt use the Xbox one. but its all good. You wont get shanked.

Yeah, the adding on my computer is a "bit" of a hassle. However, I have to turn my chair about 90 degrees to do that. Not a problem. Adding the access to the Xbox would be good, but I am not complaining.

I'm happy in some respects and disappointed in others.
Pros:
- Instant viewing (I know, kind of obvious). It's cool that they have TV seasons on there, including some that aren't out on DVD yet.
- HD content. I didn't know they were doing this until the day the new XBL came out.
Cons:
- The limited selection. I was just hoping there would be a bigger selection of instant viewable movies, but I guess that will increase in time. Haven't seen any newer releases on there.
- I haven't found a way of knowing which content is in HD. Does anyone know?
- All of the content looks pretty awful on my TV (40" 1080p Samsung). Then again, something is up with my hs internet, so I don't think I'm getting a very fast bit rate. Gotta get that fixed...
Then again, I haven't been able to enjoy XBL Netflix at all, since my Elite got the frickin' RROD the other day. It worked perfectly fine until I downloaded the update. After that, it kept freezing until finally the infamous red lights started flashing.

I absolutely love netflix on my 360 and it was what I was most excited for in the NXE. The only wait time i have is about 3 - 5 seconds and then I'm watching Heroes in HD. The fast forward/rewind is a bit awkward but I've gotten used to it. Like Mr Book said, I'm a little annoyed by how little is available but I still need to catch up on Heroes from season 1 so I should have more than enough, especially with physical discs showing up every once in a while.

I dont really think i will run out of stuff to watch any time soon, but i only have after work anyways and i have series on it...so yea.
and Mrbook i think it is your high speed, i have it running in the front room tv, 1080p samsung 52inch LCD and looks pretty nice, i did lose signal to about one bar the other night while watching Dead Like me and it looked like crap, but it reconnected and what not.
Need at least 2 bars it seems, ive fixed it(brought it closer) and i get 4(or full?) and it looks niiiice

Cartoons don't look too bad. They actually looked better then the movies I tried watching.

I love having Netflix on the 360.
As a Mac owner Watch Instantly was never an option until a couple of weeks before NXE was released and I'm using it constantly on the 360. I've watched the full 1st season of 'Weeds' which is fantastic.
I'm an SD chump so it looks great and my internet connection is rated on high. I notice a hiccup only as the video first starts for less than five seconds then you would think you were watching a DVD.
For me it is totally added value, it's something to check out when I'm waiting for my discs to come in the mail or I'm really bored and am willing to watch D3, or Big Trouble in Little China.

Yeah, I gotta get it checked. The most I can get is two bars and it looks pretty awful. Stupid cable company, not giving me my money's worth!

agreed with all of you guys. I just bought a 360 and I'm just blown away with the NXE, especially with Netflix! Not the mention the added bonus of having the Guild on there!

My arcade started doing that too! I've had to redownload Braid like 5 times just to get it to work, it freezes and then when I restart it won't load the game... it worked fine before the update and now its all crappy. What's up with that?

As a PS3 owner who bought a Roku box (that has wireless out of the box) 4 months ago, I just kinda laugh at 360 owners who are now locked into 2 monthly bills (Xbox live and Netflix) instead of the one.
I'm not trying to start a flame war here but the Roku box is great and just got under-appreciated when it came out. I considered buying a 360 when the NXE and price cuts were announced but I couldn't get myself to start paying for online play, overly expensive peripherals, and a system that would prematurely die a horrible death.
I like my Roku and PS3 setup just fine.

Hmm, two monthly bills I was paying anyway... That smells an awful lot like "free" to me.

xbox live is 50 bucks for 13 months...extremely affordable and leaps and bounds superior to PSN. Netflix rolls in around 9 dollars with a two week free trial as well. I'm the roku is fine, but console integration is extremely sick. Laughing at us, really?

I have a bunch of stuff in my Watch Instantly queue, but I haven't ever gotten it to work on the 360 yet.
My "high speed" (sarcastic quotes) internet sucks balls, and I haven't ever even gotten the regular PC Netflix streaming to work very well. The last time I talked to AT&T about my internet, they told me that they technically never should have offered it to me, since I'm too far away from the substation, or some BS like that. I find this highly frustrating, since it's not like I live in the sticks or anything, I live in frickin' metropolitan St. Louis! *sigh* Watching Diggnation & hearing Kevin & Alex talk about how fast their internet is makes me see red sometimes, I swear.
Yeah, anyway. So I love the idea of the Netflix, and I really wish I could get it to work. Maybe I need to try to find some other high-speed internet service in St. Louis that doesn't suck. Any suggestions?

I'm at the near breaking point. This particular xbox is my dad's, he's letting me borrow while he's in school, its the second he's gone through... I'm looking to buy either a xbox or ps3 this spring and as much as I love the 360 I want to buy something I know will work constantly...

I haven't signed up for the netflix subscription yet because I travel between two different places fairly often. Does anyone know if the subscription is locked to the console or to a gamertag?

That's a good question. I'm guessing gamertag. The service requires a Gold subscription to activate.

Does anyone know where you enter a code from the prepaid x-box live cards?
I cant seem to find it on the NXE.
I like some of the functionality of the NXE but i think the blade system was easier to navigate and find stuff.

Ok, I have RR which has always been great. The Netflix is awesome, whether it be on my computer or my 360, it works great. I have been on my Xbox and changed my Instant queue and it truly appears on my Xbox as I change it.
Literally, I change my Netflix queue on my computer and it instantly changes on my TV, via the 360, through my Xbox. Very good stuff. I think I will be a lifer on the Netflix deal.

Obviously if you already had a 360 and subscription to netflix this is awesome. Not trying to diminsh that at all.
I'm just saying, if you don't have a 360 and already have netflix there are other options then getting a 360.

Yes I know xbl is affordable but PSN is free. Free. I just can't get myself to pay a monthly fee for online play. I'm sorry it's my fault , I wish I could but I can't. Buying a system and game should be enough to be able to play the game online or off. It's the same reason why I never got into WoW. I'll prefer adverts or microtransactions but I won't pay for something that should be free.
I thought about 5 years down the road and wanting a play a game of cod4 and then not being able to because I didn't renew xbl or buy the 'new' xbox. And that would suck balls. I know PSN isn't great but it gets the job done and is free. Free. CoD WaW works great on it even when there are 70+K playing WaW.

Found the answer in the netflix TOS...
As an additional member benefit, you may instantly watch on up to six unique authorized devices, including personal computers and Netflix ready devices. For certain plans, you will be allowed to instantly watch simultaneously on more than one personal computer or through more than one Netflix ready device within your household, up to total of four devices at a given time.
