I'm finding that I love ready comics with Venom. I've read the Thunderbolts from #110 and like the crazy cannibalistic monster more than most main heroes. Dr. Doom also seems really interesting to me. What books should I check out to get more of these guys (other than The Fantastic Four and Spider-Man tie-ins.)?

"Dr. Strange & Dr. Doom- Triumph & Torment" graphic novel by Roger Stern and Mike Mignola is a great story centered around Strange being obliged to help Doom free his mother from Mephisto's realm.

Thanks for the tip... I have to check this out --- especially with Mignola involved.

That does sound pretty awesome - when was it done? - I can't recall ever seeing it.

I found Emperor Doom which looks really great. Are there any great Fantastic Four story arcs that surround Doom?

"Doctor Strange and Doctor Doom: Triumph and Torment" is a graphic novel in the same format as "Emperor Doom" and released in 1990.

The art is gorgeous and the vibrant coloring adds to the mystic/demonic feel.

For Venom, your best bet is really just the original stuff in the David Michelinie and Todd McFarlane run of Amazing Spider-Man. They're available in three volumes of "Spider-Man Visionaries: Todd McFarlane."
