I know, I know... OOOOLD right?

Well, after a 15 year break and a year of STILL catching up on iFanboy episodes (yes, I've watched every show and listend to every podcast...) all this comic talk finally made me dig out my collection after more than a decade.

I was looking to read some old stuff and remember why I enjoyed them... New Mutants came up and I noticed I had X-Force #1 to #9 and wondered "why did I quit this?"

It's sometimes easy to jump on bandwagons as to what we believe the reasons are--but that wasn't enough. Incidently issue 9 was the last issue drawn, inked and scripted by Rob Liefeld. He then plotted 10 and 11, then bailed for Image... the rest is history as they say.

In any case, I didn't want to have the experience of reading these without capturing SOMEthing about them to offer to the community that's pulled me out of the "lurker" classification. My first contribution is a review psot on these first nine issues.

I'd be really curious to read what other members of the iFanboy community have to say if they still have these issues around. I ended up collecting X-Force back issues from #10 to 30-something just for kicks... took me a month and 4 different comic stores within 100 km of me... but I did it.

(I've collected about 300+ back issues in the last 4 weeks and I'll likely review a couple other oldy collections :) )

Here's the link to my blog review (please come back here to comment though!)
