Ahh Sam Keith. He makes my heart a-flutter. I swear it is as if he crawled inside my head and spilled my inner thoughts onto comic pages -- always. It's almost as if he was once a troubled teenage girl. Ok -- so I know he wasn't, but in all seriousness... he pulls on the soul of my teenage heart. This is no easy feet, given that I am in my 30's.

Zero Girl (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zero_Girl) is no exception to this rule. I picked up all the singles a couple weeks at our local shop. Somehow I missed this one when it originally hit the stands. But I am loving every second of it now. I can't wait to see how it turns out. I know there is a five-issue follow-up story as well. Woohoo!

So -- has anyone read this whole series? Any non-spoiler type thoughts?

Sorry Sarah, I've been overwhelmed with robberies lately hahaha, but I am a HUGE Sam Keith fan, I've even got Epicurious the Sage.

But yes, Zero Girl is fantastic. One of my wifes favourites as well, and she doesn't read a lot of books, but consistently says Keith's protrayal of women is the 2nd best around (behind Terry Moore).

*drools* I want! I plan to have all of Sam Keith's works someday. Just rebuilding my Maxx collection now. Trying to get the back issues for My Inner Bimbo as well.

Did you read the follow up series?

I did read Full Circle, but it doesn't stand out much in my mind, so I assume it wasn't as good.

I think my favourite of all his work (besided the Maxx, natch) is Four Women, which is fantastic, moving, artistically satisfying stuff.

I am still enthralled with Ojo (an Oni Press book) personally. I adore it. I wish I could find the last two singles I need for that. Of course I have the tpb so I could finish the story... but since I started it in singles.... Well I guess I am just a completest. (when it is something I love in particular)
