Has anyone picked up the Dark Horse re-issue of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein illustrated by Bernie Wrightson (http://www.darkhorse.com/Books/15-582/Bernie-Wrightson-s-Frankenstein-HC)? I am a huge fan of Bernie's work. In fact I am moderator over at his forum (http://wrightsonart.com/forums/index.php?act=idx). You should stop by if you're a fan. He is a master, and many people consider this his masterpiece. It's definitely worth a purchase... and Things from Another World (http://www.tfaw.com/Profile/___15-582?dhrf=d3d3Lmdvb2dsZS5jb20vc2VhcmNoP3E9RGFyaytIb 3JzZStGcmFua2Vuc3RlaW4mcmxzPWNvbS5taWNyb3NvZnQ6ZW4 tdXM6SUUtU2VhcmNoQm94JmllPVVURi04Jm9lPVVURi04JnNvd XJjZWlkPWllNyZybHo9MUk3Uk5XRSZkZWJ1Zz0w) has it discounted for the holidays.

I like Wrightson's art, though I haven't read a lot of it. He did a Batman prestige mini-series called The Cult, I believe.
He's perfect for Frankenstein.

Yes, you are correct! It was The Cult.
Yeah, that's the silver anniversary edition of the Frankenstein book. It is quite popular. I am so glad they re-released it... originals are super expensive.
If you aren't that versed in the Wrightson universe and want some recommendations let me know. I'd be happy to give you some great issues to peruse. :D

Yep, I picked it up. It's my second copy as my original is beginning to show it's age. This new edition has a lovely furry cover as well that I can't stop stroking....
One of my favourite pieces of art in any medium. It's a masterpiece (http://www.wrightsonsfrankenstein.com/Images.htm)
I've also got the trading card set from the mid 90s as well as The Reaper of Love as well as copies of Captain Stern and some bits he did for Heavy Metal and well, all of it. Looking forward to the trade release of Dead, She Said as well. Yeah, I'm a fan :D
I actually even prefer his and Len Wein's Swamp Thing over Moore's. There's not a lot in it and they are very different but it always felt more in tune with the Warren and EC comics which I just love.
I will take a virtual stroll over to your forum Sarah, cheers for the heads-up

Well it's Bernie's forum. I just help he and his lovely wife out. :) Be sure to say hi when you pop by!
What did you think of Dead She Said? I haven't read it yet. I am sure eventually I will pick up the trade. I enjoy both Bernie and Steve... I liked City of Others a lot.
Heh, furry cover for Frankenstein? Kewl! No one on the forum mentioned that --- that I recall. Man I need to get my copy.
Did you ever see the version of H.P. Lovecraft's "Cool Air"? It was a Warren piece. Absolutely stunning and still one of my favorites. I plan on tracking it down and owning it someday.Or at least a gal can dream.
