Myth for rejuvenating a laptop battery.

Some people say.... If you cool your dead laptop battery in the freezer and then recharge it fully, it will be back to almost normal. Anyone ever tried this? I would be afraid it might explode in the freezer.

I've done it several times... but never got a battery to work doing it.
