Help a bloke out, yeah?

I'm organizing my books from the past several months and I realized that I'm missing New Krypton part 3. What book was it in? Was it a special?

I actually liked that third issue of New Krypton. It was neat to look at Guardian a bit more. One of my shops said a lot of people didn't pick it up because they didn't like one shot tie ins. He tried really hard to let them know it was issue 3 of New Krypton and not just a one shot tie in to the event, they continued to act stupid. I wonder how many of them came back a month later and said, "where the hell did Guardian come from?"

I thought it was quite good, too. Not as strong as the Jimmy Olsen special, but still good.

I just totally missed that it existed. I only realized now because Paper posted this.

I'm just deciding whether or not I want to track it down. I imagine I'll be getting the New Krypton trade whenever it comes out, and I'm not a strict collector, so I guess I'll just wait.

I've been bagging my books today (for the first time) and I decided to bag by arc and set anything I didn't like aside so I can give them away or recycle them. I just needed some organization because I'm tired of looking through random piles for a comic I want to reference or scan for a column. It's just a series of weird dilemmas. If I like it enough to keep it, don't I want the trade anyway? Are there things I like enough to keep, but not enough to buy the trade?

Which one was the Jimmy Olsen special?

It was one of the lead-up to New Krypton issues.

Jimmy Olsen Special was so fucking boss. A return to the Superman family of books is a-ok in my book. Lois Lane ongoing now, please!

I am making my way through my stack of books and noticed Action Comics #873 is part 10 of New Krypton, then Superman #684 is part 12 of New Krypton.

Was there ever a part 11? I cannot find any solicitations for this? Or is there a misprint somewhere? Help!

Superman 684 isn't actually part 12 of New Krypton. It ends with Action 873. "12" is just the sequence it happens in the scheme of the 3 Super-family books. They're going to keep numbering them as long as the 3 books are tied as closely as they are now.

The 11 was the most recent Supergirl, which they forgot to put on.

Are you reading Supergirl?

Edit: Gobo beat me to it. 11 was Supergirl.

I haven't purchased the newest Supergirl or Superman. Are they good reads?

Yes. Enjoyed the last Supergirl more than Superman. Because I am pretty interested in who is Superwoman. SG focused on that specifically.

Thanks guys. I only read Supergirl for the New Krypton issues. I enjoyed it, but I don't think I will continue with it. There are so many Superman books coming out in '09 that something had to give.

Again, thanks!

Supergirl always gts short changed when readers are forced to mae a choice between S branded products.

Not that it has been good for very long to merit such loyalty. But cod pieces win out in the end.
