This isn't related to Revision3 so much but in the lastest episode of DL.TV Brooks said that they, "are down to 2 people"...."it's basically just me and Sam".
Does this mean Robert Heron has left DL.TV? If so that sucks, maybe Revision3 could give him a show to call home?

Dude... dunno. Looks like everyone is getting fired or laid-off these days.
No one has any muny. Gotta' do something about the situation. Maybe
they could put him on pro bono.

It would be silly not to grab him if he is gone from DL.TV. Then again, I thought it was silly of them to let Sarah, Martin, and Hippie Glenn go, but who knows.

Yeah, that's my point. I've been saying it all along too.
There should be more shows, not less. I mean a lot more
shows. If you look around at other networks, they have
shows that fill time-slots from the hours of five in the morn
around the clock to three in the morning. Some never see a
test pattern (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Test_card) and stay on around the clock. If anything they
should be pumping out new show after new show. Give anyone
who has an idea and a camera a shot, short of turning R3
into YouTube. Pay them based on number of viewers. Straight up.

I don't agree. There should be less, quality shows than more, poor shows.
However they could fill up the schedule more with Beta shows, just highlight they're beta shows like I've done in this pic.

I say divide up the resources into teams.
Most views per resource = show stays...
Fill the entire schedule, at least two shows
for each day on the schedule. That means
more people, some "working" pro bono.
Haven't these people ever heard of interns?
C'mon how much hassle could two new shows
cost them? Plus, bring back the ones we lost too...
In a bad economy, you need more advertising, not less.
To quote Jimmy Buffet "...buy when others sell..."
Seriously though. They need a decent comedy show,
they need some children's programming, a decent show
about cartech, and maybe even a game show for the
how wives wanting to know which soaps to buy...
...attracting both viewers and contestants. Offer swag
as prizes, take a page outta' the dying radio station's
playbook. Trust me, they are heading for trouble by
attempting to downsize. That mean some people get
f***ing left out in the cold, not just the people fired.
We're talking a 17-37 age group, mostly men... c'mon
this sh!t isn't rocket science. Get Phillip Defranco and
HotforWords, or WhatdaBuck, and you'd have a bigger market
share. It's time to step up to the plate here and try for
some edgy, different, fresh, new approaches. If they think
for a minute that they'll survive by being a niche' grouping
of pure IT based shows, they're kidding themselves. Any
defectors from the mainstream ought to be coming on
board as a matter of practice. And a new show to boot.
Any of these talented people who are available should be
getting sucked up into the R3 engine like a Dyson vaccum.

I didn't see that ep. of DL.TV. Maybe Brooks just meant that it was Sam and him for THAT episode? I guess Robert still has the PC magazine gig, but they're getting out of the print business and going all online, which they'd still need a video expert for.
I guess DL.TV went for the cheapest talent, not a good idea when the idea is getting more viewers. Brooks is alright, but Sam seems iffy.
I love the game show idea for Rev3. Prizes could be hardware, software, Rev3 merchandise, and games donated by sponsors/advertisers. The concept could be pop culture/sci-fi-horror/geek/computer trivia. Or tech contests where the contestants have to write some little tricky program in Visual Basic or C++.

I'd say Robert will find a better home on CNET in terms of reach and relevance of his skillz.

"DL.TV production is going on hiatus effective immediately. The last few months have seen numerous behind the scene changes for DL.TV and the end result is that there are too few bodies left to put out a consistent and quality show."
Well shit. :(

I felt this coming for some time. I love Robert, but without an anchor like Patrick, he's the sound of one hand clapping. Maybe we'll see more of him on "Tekzilla!"

Mofo knows tech all-round. But yeah - he can't carry a show on his own. Hopefully he gets a gig elsewhere that gets good exposure.
