Needed a place to charge the Storm, Zune and Jabra so I made one.
Got the idea Here (http://lifehacker.com/5103825/turn-a-craft-store-antique-box-into-a-posh-charging-station) but took it a step further.

The guts are a Belkin surge protector with 2 USB charging ports built in (makes it a lot more compact). I added a USB plug so that I could charge any other items I bring in.

wow. you'd think though, that someone out there
in the manufacturing world would actually make a
charging station like this for everyone...
I would buy one for myself and as a gift.

Niiiiiiiice.... and still within the budget. thnxI like the additional features that Murohy1d's version has - especially the use of the Belkin power strip (I have the same model for travelling) ... the ability to charge via USB is terrific.
BJ's also sell the powerboard.

I thought about something like this but my phone charges out the side (like the Blackberry) with a firm cord (doesn't bend well). Notice how you don't see any plugged in? So I figured I could make it however I wanted.
Two days and 4 versions later I finally got what I wanted.

Nice. Me want. If I still had access to a carpentry shop I'd make my own. With a laptop docking station underneath. Flat screen monitor above. I mean, why have the stuff spread all over the house? One Charger to rule them all!
