I am currently reading New, Mighty and the Initiative Avengers titles. Dark Avengers is about to come out and I can't do it any more. I'd like to get down to one Avengers book and I don't know which to read. I know they're about to change directions so it's hard to know what will be good, but what are you planning to buy, what are you excited for, what are you bored with and, if you were going to read one Avengers book, which would it be?

Avengers The Initiative has been hot and cold for me, I'm done with it. That was the easiest decision in this. Dark Avengers, from what I can tell is basically just an extension of what Ellis started in Thunderbolts. I dropped that series and I have no interest in this one. Mighty Avengers sounds like it should be fun, I love the art (and I forget the artist's name right now, Pham?) but Dan Slott's best stuff has always been solo characters to me. His team stuff, mainly referring to Initiative, is a bit iffy. I think he might do a better job with these more well known characters because I think part of the problem was that he knew the characters and assumed that others did too when I didn't, which could make it confusing. New Avengers would be very hard for me to drop as I've been following it since the beginning and loved MOST of it, but right now, I don't even know where it's going to be going. So, I'm having trouble choosing between New and Mighty…

I clicked to make this a poll but it never gave me the option to put in the choices, so just post your pick, I guess.

I would like to change my vote to which ever team of Avengers that have Thor on it.

I didn't vote; I'm waiting for the lineups to be set to make up my mind. The answer might well be "none" though I think the likelihood in order is New (assuming it has Hawkeye, Mockingbird, Luke, and Jessica); Dark (if it's not totally redundant of Thunderbolts), Mighty (if I can't resist the lineup), Initiative (why the hell is this book going to exist anymore?)

I'll just balantly say it: Dont pick up any of these titles.

Mighty is going under new management and I dont like the looks of it from articles on ign.
New is still run by Bendis and I will not buy anything he has for a story.
Initiative has just been medicore since Secret Invasion took over the series.
Finally Dark....god now I'm starting to see why Kirkman criticized Bendis for a 'NEW' Avengers title.

So yes, dont pick any of these titles up.

I have to get the next issue of New Avengers because it has Cap in it. I want more Captain America!

I have decided to go with New Avengers for the time being. At issue 50, if I'm not totally enjoying it and I'm hearing good things about Mighty, I may switch.

Now is when I bitch about rising prices:
NA #01: $2.25

NA #48: $2.99
NA #49: $3.99
NA #50: $4.99 (it's only for one issue, but jeez)

I said New Avengers cuz of Cage and Jess Jones.

Dark Avengers sounds like, in name and premise, a comic from the early 90's written by Scott Lobdell and drawn by Rob Liefield. :)
