(full disclosure, I gave no-one anything, but everyone knows I'm broke and unemployed. But I also didn't ask for or expect anything. So I only got socks and gloves from the 'rents ;) )

I did get a toy for a female friend of mine... but that is only because she has been wanting one. She had a hard time saying yes when I asked her if she wanted it but that is because she was embarrassed of what the other women looking at the same toys would think :rolleyes:.

Other than that, I didn't give or get anything.

Actually, I gave the usual assortment of books and toys and games, but listed on the front of each one what was "in it" so that they could vent their disappointment before they opened it and act delighted for my benefit. For instance, a CD of "Surrealistic Pillow" became "Kidz Bop Gangsta Rap" featuring Shank Yo Moms and Sniff My Juicy-Juice. A little fun but didn't slow the frenzy.

Cody got a Remington shaver, the deluxe editions of Wall-E, Iron Man, and The Dark night, and he's also getting an XBox 360 with Left for Dead 4, but it won't be here until January. Stupid back orders.

One of my gifts was supposed to arrive on Christmas Eve, then it got delayed until the 29th, then came in the 24th as originally planned. I wasn't bothered by the thought of it being late. But I'm majorly bugged by Cody's coming late.

Target's got V-Day stuff out, and the fabric stores already have St. Paddy's Day fabrics. But of course you usually need more time than a few weeks when sewing. But still, Valentine's candy already in the stores?
