View Full Version : Has REV3 ever thought about doing a workout/gym/personal fitness show?

So I recently joined LA fitness and was pleased to get some complementary instruction from a personal trainer about the proper way to do some strength-training exercises - however I wasn't interested in paying well over $100+ a month extra for it.
So I went on youtube and there is some (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MsMlQA67QYc) decent instruction there, but most of the content just links you to a site that sells you more information about diet/fitness.
Has rev3 ever thought about gathering a group of certified trainers who are willing to provide gym supplementary instruction along with diet elements? I'd imagine if the content gets thorough enough, I'm sure there wouldn't be a shortage of sponsors. I'd really like to see such a show that focuses on planning and such.

If a viewer got hurt exercising, pushing themselves too hard and injuring themselves, then Rev3 could have a problem with being held liable. You can bet personal trainers have insurance in case someone in their care gets hurt doing something they suggest. Rev3 would need a policy as well to protect themselves in case John Doe tries something one of the hosts to and makes an injury worse. Unless they're willing to bring a doctor on board to oversee what exercises are shown, then there's just too much risk with such a sue-happy society.

Dude... that's a DAMN good idea. I think I'd would pay money
in actual dollars to see Zadi, Veronica, and Shannon aerobicizing (http://smccd.net/accounts/salahuddinr/img/img_aerobics.jpg)
to old eighties butt-rock, while wearing some cool Rev3 spandex (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spandex).

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3029/2393611753_bb377327d1.jpg?v=0 ....hell yeah. @shwing!
...you could get in shape, AND learn how to, ...I dunno, maybe even sneak in
a 'how-to' lesson on the basics of HTML, or how to proper hack those nifty
windows-based automated check-out lanes at the local grocery store
so that it quadruple counts all my "points" on my membership card.
Sh!t, even Kevin (http://www.flickr.com/photos/kevinrose/2824868537/) could get in there... have the little wireless set
like they have in the Tae-bo (http://www.billyblanks.com/) class, with Kevin getting all
"Mission Impossible (http://www.tomcruisefan.com/gallery/albums/albums/movies/mission-impossible-2/promo/mission-impossible-2-promo-012.jpg)" slash "eastern (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eastern_philosophy#East_Asian)" on us,
...sh!t, he'd be down. Girls would LOVE it too.

How about a "Women of Rev3" calendar for the store? I'd buy several. And I am not a male pig type, so they wouldn't have to be wearing 2 piece bikinis. Rev3 t-shirts, jeans, Vans shoes, with geek accessories such as a microwave burrito in one hand and an iPhone in the other. Don't forget to put Camilla in it.

I don't work for Rev3, so obviously I'm not one of those women you're talking about, but I've thought about making a geeky-type calendar of me as a gift. You know, different electronics strategically covering things for some of the months, doing unusual things while in geek-wear, etc.. I just don't have the photographer.

I'd like to buy a calender of you. :) You can upload your pics to CafePress and they'll make a calendar out of it to send to customers. (I think they do calenders).
Just don't use any large geeky items to cover up the strategic areas. :) 2 iPod Nano 3rd Gens and 1 iPhone ought to do the trick -- the 21st Century version of the fig leaf.

Hey, don't forget the handsome Men of Rev3 for the ladies and er others...
C'mon, Kevin in jams with a surfboard and an iPhone? Surf aint the only thing that's up!
The TRS Men Pumping iron at a Gym in Gym shorts and ipods/Zunes? New definition of "pumping" iron.
Brian in those sexy jeans blowing a giant flame? How hot is that!
Andrew in his boxers watching a big screen tv in his open bathrobe with one of those high tech remote controller thingies strategically placed? Redifines "boob tube"
Pat Norton as a sexy bear "visiting repairman" fixing your cable box? Sparks fly!
Martin Sargeant in a Teddy on a stripper Pole with hot chicks feeding 100 dollar bills down his g-string?
Yeah, ok, skip that last one. :D

"The 21st-Centruy Fig Leaves" That would be good!! I'm going to have to ask Cody to help, even though I wanted to do this as a gift for him. :) Hell, I've posted nide pics online. I'm not shy about that stuff. So they very well may go on Cafe Press. :)

I don't think cafepress allows that, even if strategically placed. It's all kids and puppies there.

I just wanna see Kevin and Alex in a kilt...
...getting sh!thammered to some decent
old school bagpipe music played in a
badass bar with KoRn (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5RguU_CpfrE) on stage.
Make a workout video outta that, and we'd have a hit.
You see, everyone could be in a dress,
...making everyone happy.
Throw in some exercises,
a bit of step aerobics...
BAM!!!! Fusion.

They might allow it. I'll check out their TOS because I have a store front account with them.
Yeah, America's not too progressive when it comes to the human body. In this country, you can show people getting disemboweled on TV but you can't show the natural human body on regular TV. My brother went to Europe and said that on soap or shampoo commercials on regular TV they showed fully nude women taking a shower.
Our neighbor had a foreign exchange student from France and they went to the lake once. And when they got there, she stripped down to just her bottoms, so they had to tell her to put her top on. She wanted to tan her chest. Darn, I need to move to Europe. :)

Or New York state. Where ever it is legal/accepted in public that a man can go topless so can a woman (http://www.tera.ca/legal.html#Rochester)... Only saw it once a though, at a punk rock show in the park.
edit: link is review of law, not boobies.
