i've got one day to decide, they are both the same price. I had LN40a630 but it broke so i have to take it back. i looked up green static and it seems like this problem is common with these tv's. im lucky it happened sooner than later. should I risk it happening again (samsung is rumored to have awesome customer service so if it breaks within a year they will send someone to fix it). on the other hand the plasma is 50" and i hear plasmas look better than LCD.

so it comes down to the age old question of plasma vs LCD (TH-50PZ80U vs ln40A630)

Mainly for games but it don't matter anymore cause they said even though it cost 1500 bucks and I only paid 1100 I can only get that sammy or a 1100 dollar tv. But now I'm being told that that model is sold out everywhere. Grrrr. This sucks cause my 30 day thing ends next week

edit**
I found a best buy in westbury,NY (only 26 miles away from where i live) that has my tv, sarcastic woot. I hate how bestbuys policies change every week. This whole thing started when I bout a samsung that was originally 999 for 799 which I never got because they canceled my order and never bothered to tell me about it. I then had to wait a week to get my money put back into my account (its funny how it takes 2 seconds for them to withdraw money from my account then it takes a week to put it back). I tried to get the same tv for the same price and the first lady I talked to said it was fine but the TV was unavailable so I would have to call back when it is. She gave me a case number and I said fine. I called back about a week later and this time a guy said their policies don't allow them to give over a hundred dollars discount. I'm like listen this lady said it was fine I got a case number and everything. He gave me some BS about bestbuy cracking down on people who don't follow the new policies and the person who wrote up the case wasn't specific enough as to why I was getting the 200 bucks off. I was pissed and I did the whole let me speak to your supervisor thing. after being transferred about a hundred times I got my 200 bucks off and ordered a better TV (the ln40a630). It was 1299 at the time and I got it for 1100. now the tv is back to being 1499 and they wont give me essentially the same kind of deal. I want the panny which is 1499 but the guy said I'd have to pay the 400 difference.
