I'm not sure if this show has made it across the pond and if any of you US folks know about it... but you really should it's totally rad in every way.

After a few years off the TV, they've done a Christmas/New Year special.. which has just finished and it was just as brilliant as ever. Any UK people watch it? I don't want to spoil anything but.. wasn't that grinning painting fucking creepy!? I hate paintings anyway (from watching Ghostbusters 2 as a child), but they made that one really well. If it's a copy of a real painting I think I'd shit myself if I saw it in a gallery.

For those that don't know it's a "locked door mystery" show where a designer of magicians illusions uses "Spock like" logic to solve the problem. There's more to it than that as there is usually a genuinely creepy haunted house twist to it.. with murders and so on. Plus it's funny. The guys need to review it.

All the old series are on netflix, and get a "UK friend to post you a vhs" of the new one :D You won't regret it.

Watched it, loved it. I adore Jonothan Creek it's one of those shows that you can just sit and watch unfold, there's little point trying to work it out yourself cause you'd have to be mental to get it right. Wonderful stuff.

I didn't really get the bit at the end with the old woman, not sure if I missed something. I would say more but apparently there's no of spoiler tags on this here forum :(

Compared to older episodes, I thought the writing was extremely weak and the directing poor.

It's a shame Davies doesn't like doing though as it'd be nice to see it back on regularly.

I don't think it's that Davis doesn't like doing it; it's that David Renwick has difficulty coming up with the stories/locked door conundrums..
