I just want to charge my iPhone

Is there anyway to prevent apps from launching when I plug my iPhone in to charge it?

iTunes alone is annoying, it sucks so much of my resources and (more-so) time just to launch the pig. The other little, "OMG you plugged something in" box, isn't so bad. But it would be nice to just recharge my iPhone like an e-ninja and avoid all the bs.

uh dude there is an option for that. although it does depend on which itunes you have. I'm assuming latest version (with that annoying genius bar), just uncheck "automatically sync when iPhone is connected" under the summary tab when iphone is plugged in.

I remember on the older one you had to plug in your ipod or iphone then a previously greyed out preferences option under edit (not to sure if it was edit or view) becomes available. you'll have the option of turning off the auto launch thing.

and yeah veronica is a one in a million. The tech stuff is really cool but her personality and flare on camera is what takes this show over the top. she is the zilla in tekzilla

I totally agree - itunes takes forever to launch even on fast computers, it's hideous.

You can hold shift while iTunes starts. That starts it in a different mode where you can choose your library or quit. It is much faster.

I haven't tried it, but you could try preventing some of the itunes helper apps from running on startup, like iTunesHelper.exe.

You can also get a usb wall charger for pretty cheap.

Why, dont you use the main chrager than came with the iphone? :s
