But seriously, would you do that? Not like, "that looks awesome and fun, I would so love to do that, but are you the type to actually do that?

i used to dream i was flying when i was little
it wasn't just magic i had a technique developed sometimes i was doing better than at others
sometimes i was just above the tree tops sometimes i was really flying in the clouds
now i realize i was probably astral projecting
kids are closer to cosmic powers than we are as adults sadly :(

I still have flying dreams at age 45, but they are/were more like "leaping" dreams... I leap a bit, as if on a trampoline, then leap at the apex of that leap and go higher, then leap at that apex, boucing off nothing but my desire to leap higher and further... etc. I leap all over the world...
But I do remember a very early dream when I was shot out of a cannon like in a Looney Tunes cartoon, and kept going and going and going...
But I would SO do this Base jumping, flying suit thing, because I always wanted to hang glide. But I would start with simple parachuting, then do the hangglider, and then the base jump with parachute, then the basejump with wing suit. Work up to it.

i use to dream i was falling down a endless pit followed by a giant boulder
usually woke up frightened and couldn't get back to sleep

haha, well bassjumping is more falling than flying, just controlled falling...

Didn't see raiders until much later in life. Just around 10 years ago and was too young to read that since I was around 4-6.

Not base jumping, but the greatest experience I ever had was hanging off the wing strut of a twin otter - flying like superman, before letting go and parachuting.
Better than sex :)
You've all heard the aftermath story, but the actual hanging off a wing part ... awesome.

The flip side of base jumping (http://www.news.com.au/story/0,27574,24871412-421,00.html).
Of the guys I did my first (and only) parachute jump with (back in 1992? 93?), three went onto sports diving (team figure jumping) and two of them are into base jumping, and a forth go into paragliding.
Unfortunately, with the injuries I sustained, I was advised to never go again - a hard landing, even one someone could normally walk away from - could be enough to pop my spine and paralyze me. Put my adrenaline junkie spirit on a permanent back burner :(
BTW - The video is awesome, but do't want to "Soar Like An Eagle" soundtrack ... I want this.

No way in hell would i grow the balls to do that for real....in my mind im like oh man I'd try that. but if i was at the place and watching others do it i'd prob crap myself just thinking about trying it.
