In the last 48 hours or so, among my friends there are three confirmed pregnancies (one with twins) and one more possible. (This ability to get pregnant and stay pregnant needs to rub off on me - I've lost three.) Sadly enough for me, all are due within two weeks of when I would be due had we not lost them.
Anyway it got me to wondering if there's any truth in more babies being conceived in December than any other month. Has anyone else noticed a rise in pregnancies among people they know when it comes to certain months?
ETA: Good gods, add one more to the count.

My younger sister had five miscarriages and then did the IVF thing three times before it stuck with twins. My older sister had three miscarriages before having a successful pregnancy. Then on her next attempted the fetus became a malignant tumor that caused lung cancer. Luckily it only cost her uterus and six-months of chemotherapy.
Keep trying if you can...

We're going again, even though the insurance company is fucking us and lying to us (we have proof). This will be the last IVF cycle though. $$$ After this, a cycle or two for FET, and then that's all we can do. How old was your younger sister when she was trying?
I can't remember what it's called when, rather than a term-baby, a malignant tumor formed. Was your older sister able to become a mom any other way?
It's just throwing me through a loop that, among my friends, there are five babies due within two weeks of when we would have been, and still waiting to hear back on one of my best friends. That count can go up to six babies among five women.

My younger sister was about 30, that was about 10-years ago when she started her IVF, this was after the multiple miscarriages. When she conceived the twins she had to go on bed rest. Luckily, she's in the Navy and she was well taken care of. They decided to quit having children after that. She has twin seven-year-old boys now. My older sister was about 33 when she started trying to have a baby. She was actually a month pregnant when she got married but she lost that one. She had a boy before the second attempt pregnancy removed her capability of ever having more.
Both my sisters have only boys and they're pretty envious of my little girl. Emily is the only girl in her generation so far, she's has a brother and five male first-cousins if you count the ones on Sabrina's side.
I was going to tell you that even with no complications, it took Sabrina and I almost a year the first time we tried. But, that probably because of our age and the birth control Sabrina was taking. We were on condoms only after Emily was born so when we tried for Xander the results were immediate. For my kids, the easiest thing was having them. The challenges came later. We're pretty much done with new kids.
Good luck.

Apparently Christmas stockings aren't the only things that are hung in December.
