Today I checked my email and found I Just won a ticket to see the Totally Rad Show. I thought to myself Great!, but now I'm in a pickle. I Live in Southern Ontario Canada and have no way of getting there. I would gladly take that person as a guest if that person would find kindness in their hearts and take me.

Should this not be in the TRS forum?

Yes it should ... and it was a greedy move.
Now someone who CAN get to the show (and always could) can't get in.

If anyone won tickets, but can't go, how about offering them up in this thread for those that can go.

It's a bit cheeky applying if you knew in advance that you couldn't get there, but if someone can help you get there you're both winners. Hope you find someone, but don't leave it too late to give up the ticket to someone else if you don't find someone.

well, I never received an actual ticket. I got an email saying that I won a seat and I had to rsvp. I have no physical ticket to give away If there is a way u guys can email katie@revision3.com and tell her that I said it was okay to have my seat. My email is cap7a1n.plan37@gmail.com in case she asks or something. This sucks for me but at least the seat won't be wasted.

I'm sure the RSVP process is for this exact purpose: to carry over tickets that can't be used to the "runners up" who can. The people who could feasibly attend, and really want to, have been keeping the night of January 9th open ever since the contest was announced. ;)

I have noticed that some people had to RSVP by Tuesday at 5PM, others today by 5PM. Leads me to believe they are filtering out the no-shows and offering the tickets to others. But the others also have to be able to make the trip too.

Having said that, 4 days notice is waaaaaaay to late for people to attend from out of state. Telling us when the contest started that the tickets will be announced a week before the show would have probably kept many people from entering. I wouldn't have. But still glad I won. A lesson learned if they ever do this again.

Vegan you and Murphy1d share my thoughts exactly. I had the same idea as to what should be or should have been done with the invites that were given to people who are unable to go. This way it would insure that the event is full and no seat is left empty.

Well, the date that they started notifying winners makes sense if you think about it. The deadline was the 1st; then, let's face it, no one worked on Friday the 2nd; then there was the weekend, which everyone took off as well if their business didn't already have weekends off. The world didn't resume business as usual until Friday.

When they said the deadline, and that winners would be notified in "early January", and stressed very heavily that you must be able to get yourself there, I figured it would be down to the wire.

To me it was clear, though my proximity to the venue probably clouded assessment of the situation since it didn't affect me either way. It could have been stated more clearly rather than requiring a degree from Sherlock Holmes Academy.

I will have to go back and look, but I think the contest was opened initially without any winners-announcement date. It wasn't until the next episode that they said it would be "early January."

I've been known to miss these things, but I entered because I figured I would have time to plan. Then I heard early Jan, but figured I wouldn't win. Then when I did I said "I entered, I need to either honor the tix or immediately decline." Luckily I had a Christmas bonus and had the date in mind (just in case I did win).
