Spotify is this (new?) application that streams music live for free (with some ads) or without ads for 10 bucks a month. It carries thousands of songs from most major labels, and so far when I've been using it everything starts playing instantly and even scrolling through songs is instant. It's really quite impressive.

Since it's not available for free in my country yet I decided to pay for it for one month, to try it out, and so far I'm really enjoying it. It's really impressive tech. Sadly I don't have any invites yet. Just wondering if anyone else is using this?

It has some cool features as well, like collaborative playlists, which lets you make playlists with other people over the internet.

I made a TRS playlist here: http://open.spotify.com/user/dasal/playlist/0fcGoA6JvwnDwIBGv2AAGI

Dunno how it works exactly, I think just click the link? If anybody has this share some songs :D

Yeh, i registered on Monday!
I think it's great, it has tonnes of music (not everything - but i wouldn't expect that anyway) and it's VERY quick to stream!!
If anyone wants an invite, just let me know. I've got 5 left, first come first served.

Really impressed by it, I just hope some iPod support comes? and then it would be even better. - Not expecting that at all at the moment though.

How is this better than the ad-free and money-free streams from pandora or last.fm, or the other internet radio out there?

How is this better than the ad-free and money-free streams from pandora or last.fm, or the other internet radio out there? This has an amazing selection and layout. Also, it isn't interneet radio. Search an artist or an album and you play the whole thing, or just any songs you want.

Yeh, they work with Sony BMG, Universal, Warner, EMI, Merlin and The Orchard.
So there's a very good selection ;)

Ok, i have 2 invites left now :)
