Did anyone else, or was anyone else want(ing) to go completely apeshit on Microsoft today?(The whole windows 7 beta release supposedly around 1200 EST)For the first 2.5 million gullible people.
I checked for nearly 12 hours today(at work, girlfriends, home)for any updates, but none came to pass. All kinds of little taunts though, one I recall above all of them...
"Windows 7 beta available shortly! Please Stand by!"
Then a little note at around 1645 EST..Thanks for your interest in the Windows 7 Beta. The volume has been phenomenal-we're in the process of adding more servers to handle the demand. We're sorry for the delay and we'll re-post the Beta as soon as we can ensure a quality download experience.
Microsoft not prepared..what's new right?
I'm just hoping they soon realize the value of torrents, and serial key distribution via say..for the first 2.5 million people who registered after a certain time(automated of course)

I gave up on going apeshit on M$ long ago. Getting beta software from M$ is easy, just wait until it is released. Or did you want the alpha code (what M$ calls beta) to play with. Don't worry, it will be easy to get soon.
If you don't want to wait for piratebay, anyone with a MSDN (developers network) kit should have it, or at least they all had prior versions of Windows.
Not sure why you want to be one of the "gullible people" anyway

Were you actually being serious, or did you just want to post some dating link with your message?..no offense. Its called SPAM. You'll notice the message is gone. Mods aren't hanging around 24x7, so sometimes you'll see a message like that - just click the Report button on the post and move on. It'll be cleaned up when a moderator logs in in the morning to pick up the trash.

I was finally able to get it up and running today(currently using it now).
It's pretty quick(except for the large amount of ram used)
It's cool that companies are releasing beta drivers in preparation for it's release, so I'm about to try out a game(since it has DX11 by default).
I think it will take some getting used to also, coming from XP anyways haha. There are so many options, shortcuts, new features, blah blah.
Anyone else trying it out?

I'm giving it a fair shot, like I did with vista. So far I rate it a 3/5. The UI is vastly different from XP, which is not much of a problem for you vista users, and will take a little getting used to. It has a few quirks, but what OS doesn't?
So far my biggest gripe is that volume control is completely gone. (and yes, I did find the level options in the Sounds control panel. That not the point though.) Sad thing is, I won't be able to test anything with my video capture card since there are no 64-bit drivers for it. As it is, vista 64 drivers WILL work with 7. Found that out by trying out the drivers for my onboard audio. (Realtek ALC850 if you must know)
