Hello guys!
This is a message from Norway the capital of Sweden! I finnaly got broadband in my iglo to send you this letter. :-)
I have been watching Tekzilla for some time now, and they advertised your show. What I like about it is that it's more technical then Tekzilla, the only thing on the downside is f.ex. you SSH tips, it was to little of the screen and to much of you guys on the screen. :-) But other then that you do a great job.
But then... on the end of the show... and this one realy made me wondering if I should laugh or cry! You talk about the program Empathy and the "postcard registration". And then you say, and I quote; "... to him" "To like his ice cave that he has like..." "in scandinavia" "there we go" And also you saied his name was Michal Strehovský
Where to begin... First of all, you should hear that Strehovsky is not an western europe name, it's a slavic name, and the guy is from Slovakia!
The second thing... Ice cave and scandinavia? Well, we do have snow, but we do not live in iglos or snowcaves. Today f.ex. we have had 50 Fahrenheit, and that in the middle of Norway (63degrees north). And we all have houses. ;-) Maybe take a look here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scandinavia and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slovakia.
But it seems people from USA think it's just ice here. A friend of my aunt that is from manhattan thought that we have icebears and live in iglos. Boy was she shocked when she came of the plane in her winterjacket and it was 77Fahrenheit! :-p
Well guess I made my point. :-) (and also.. Norway is not the capital of Sweden. Just ask the swedish lady in Tekzilla.)
And then for the technical part of the show. Why use SSH? If you got a windows XP, Vista, 2003 or 2008 server you can easily setup a PPTP server that could be used on your windows, mac or *nix computer, both as a gateway or just a connection to your home network. PPTP client is built in to Windows and Mac and most of the linux distros. The pro for SSH is the dynamic port, as PPTP is static.
But both ways lead to Rome so guess they both serve the purpose.
And then, the only thing left to say is keep up the good work!
