My wife and I are having twins, so I think it is time that I invest in a good set of surround sound headphones for my XBOX 360. The two main features that I am looking for are chat function and they are wireless.

Here are a few that I have looked at so far...

1.) TURTLE BEACH - EarForce X3's
http://www.turtlebeach.com/products/efx3/home.aspx

2.) SKULL CANDY - Lowriders (Not Wireless)
http://www.skullcandy.com/shop/lowriders-for-xbox-360-p-95.html

3.) TRITTON Tech - AX360 (Again not wireless)

anyways...uuh i will go with number 2 i know a few people who use them an like them.

whichever you chose i suggest you get two pair

your wife will need some respite also

if she has none trust me neither will you

and actually for the twins soothing music might be the best idea of all

how old do kids have to be to have their own ipods and ear buds ?

masher should know

Save your cash for diapers. You won't have time for games anyway... believe me. :(

With the new CPSIA regulations, definitely save your money for diapers. The cost of testing that ALL children's products must undergo come February 10th (there's a motion about possibly exempting products made only from unnatural, unteated fibers, electronics, and consumer-inaccessible parts, but diapers do not meet these qualifications, and second-hand retailers won't have to test but can only sell products they know to comply with the lead and phthalate limits) is expected to substantially increase the cost of children's products. I've been watching this closely for months. I have about 50 links saved, about a dozen of those from the government's web page about this.

I've been watching this law because not only do I make and sell children's gowns as part of my business (the part of my business that makes the most profit), but we're also working on having a baby and lost our twins in December. It feels almost dangerous to be trying to have a baby when the costs to consumers and businesses is still unknown.

Wait off on those headphones for now. Chances are you won't have much time anyway.

plus i can't recommend having your ears covered so you can't hear the children. i mean they scream and cry for a reason.

Maybe he plans on being a neglectful dad (sure as hell hope not plenty of those in the world already).

Playing video games should be the last thing on your mind.

i doubt it. i bet it is just something he hasn't thought about. being a new parent isn't easy. there are lots of things that just don't concur to you.

My best friend has a two year old. I asked him if he been playing any of the new cool games I hear about on TRS. "aint played nothing in 2 years" he said. He was a HUGE gamer before that.

like i said you might want to try to soothe the babies with music rather than tune them out

music is a healthy habit and should be encouraged

allegedly listening to mozart makes kids smarter

when i have to do serious heavy organized thinking i listen to bach

now i just started playing WoW at night after the kids go to bed (and of course i am playing Travian (http://www.travian.us/?uc=us6_96317) but no one else want to play) you can still be a gamer just not play as much.

Now cut what little free time he has in half. Or just make it easy and cut out the free time altogether. :)

Agreed. Don't be that guy. Y'know the one with the baby with an all-day diaper while you're sitting on the couch playing XBOX wearing badass headphones.
