setting up a podcast

I have been watching diggnation for a long time now, and i have decided to create a podcast. I of course watched the systm ep. on podcasting, but i have a few questions that hopefully someone on here can answer. My budget is mid range (100-300)

1. Which soundblaster sound card should i buy, since that systm ep. is sort of dated, idk what is affordable and quality these days

2. Can that sound card handle 3 mics? I'm looking to have 3 mics for the podcast.

3. Any additional info on a mixer would also be helpful
