Having contacted revision3 some time ago about WhatsOnMyBookshelf (http://www.whatsonmybookshelf.com)sponsoring diggnation shows, I never received a response. I just sent another inquiry and am concerned that there may be a bug in the sponsorship contact form.

Maybe they didn't respond because the link (at least the one on this thread) doesn't seem to work?

edit: your link is spelled wrong: whtasonmybookshelf instead of whatsonmybookshelf
if you copy/pasted that in the submit form it would turn them off, maybe. Also you might want to check some spelling and grammar errors on the page. Not trying to be an a-hole, just thinking it looks a little unproffesional, even though your site is a cool idea.

yea that might be the reason, but wait for him to post

I think that the correct link should be: http://www.whatsonmybookshelf.com/

This service seems very similar to BookMooch (http://bookmooch.com/), which was featured on Inside the Net here (http://www.twit.tv/itn33).

Well whenever he responds to you...let us know how much it is. I have been wondering what a sponsor pays for a while now.

Spelling and Grammar errors? Sorry the link was just a misprint on this post. I know the correct one was sent to Rev3

Like I said, not trying to be an a-hole. Just trying to help, and wanted to make sure you covered your bases.

As for grammar/spelling stuff, on your site this is a little awkward:

"WhatsOnMyBookshelf is a book trading community, where you always own the books or textbooks you request. For each book trade, you accumulate points which can be redeemed for more books. Trade and discover new books to read!"
The awkward part is "for each book trade..." where "book trade" could be a noun, but I was expecting it to read: "for each book traded..." Both are correct, I guess, one is just less awkward to read.

The other thing is that both commas in that paragraph are unnecessary. The sentences are complete phrases that don't need to be separated by commas.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not trying to be the grammar police or anything. If you are familiar with me from the old forums I was always the kindly ol' gentleman trying to help with my ancient wisdom. ;)

I guess I could have PMd you with this advise but I think it might be good for the others, especially the younger folk who are excited about the new technologies and want to start something cool like you have, but don't know or understand that the "money people" might be persnickety folks who expect "attention to detail" as a prerequisite before taking on an enterprise. It is no different, really, than spell checking a resume.

Anyway, good luck, and hope to see your sponsorship on Diggnation soon.

Joel
