What happen to my ps3

I was playing fallout3 for about 2 hours and getting tried so press the button on the controler to quit the game then I was going to shut if off it beep like when you rest it then it turn off then turn on 10 seconds later. I was able to get the disk out and to go the save ultiy date and Everthing fells cool to touch. Alzo makes thes funny nosie when it on like a clicking sound

Is there anything I could do fix this? I was thinking I could restore it will this help any.

Buy a new hard drive.

Clicking hard drive = hard drive that is probably never going to work again.

You should confirm the hard drive is indeed the source of the clicking.

If the drive and or unit is under warranty get a replacement drive. If you have access to a modern pc, get an external hd case if you do not have one and then go to the site of the people who make the drive to get software to diagnose and correct the drive. sometimes the software can lock out bad sectors and the disk will be usable again for a while, but it does not aiways work especially if the drive is completly boken.

I don't think it drive when I fomat the drive I didn't hear the noise at all. I'am still under warranty I think call sony about it.
