On BBliveshow Brian uses song mashups as "bumpers" (aka pee breaks :D ) and has turned me on to them. I have found some real nice ones. Have you? And Brian, post the ones you like here.

I have an AVI of the GreenDay/Oasis clip on my laptop. When ever I look for files to delete, its 25MB size taunts me ... but still it stays. Because it really is that good (even better in higher resolution).

BUT - that clip is the Eurythmics/Chemical Bros reposted. Which Stefani one are you thinking of?

I wanna make mashup. I think I know how to do it. Brian, name ONE song you wanna see mashed up, I will find the right "other song(s)" to meld. This will take several days, so be patient.

Also, Not Mr Roboto. Been done. Ideally some song you love but never mentioned before. (and that is generally known to the general public)

Brian wins. I give up. I can't stomach the first two songs to listen to them over and over. Strokin' I been working with, but can NOT find appropriate second song that works with all three criteria I expect from a mashup...

a) right beat/tempo and/or other musical congruities
b) correct thematic congruities
c) relevant humor, cause Brian prefers mashups that at least make him smile.

I found plenty of sex/jerkin songs that woulda been funny, but just don't work with a).

Also, I guess I don't have the right software, or enough knowledge for the software I do have.

Think I'll just stick with Photoshopping Brian onto silly things...

Not the end of the thread, though. Keep posting cool mashups. I love em, even if I can't make em.

Awww. Hate to disappoint. I'll try again if you can suggest some songs that will work with strokin'.

Tried "the stroke" "Dancing with myself" "I touch myself" "turning japanese" and "She-bop."

The closest I "came" so to speak, was "back in the saddle" But I could NOT get rid of that annoying "clickity" sound in the "Strokin" song, which really fucks up the rhythm with other songs.
