Does anyone know if the BttF DVD set still has the issues it had when it was released a year or two ago?
I thought I read somewhere there were some scenes that were out of place or something odd, and that Universal wouldn't fix it?
I wanted to pick it up but didn't want a messed up copy.

the problem i read was the widescreen version wasn't truelly widescreen. some jackass just put black bars on it. so it was actually covering up things.
to be fair. that is what my grandparents and a lot of people think they do anyways. "can you get rid of those bars? i want to see the whole thing."

they fixed that problem though.
i have it and it is okay...at least my copy.

I'm sure they fixed it, and the problem was only with the widescreen edition, the sequels weren't in their original aspect ratio. I still have mine, because i never sent the discs in.

If you *do* happen to get a widescreen version with the rotten 3rd disc, they *will* replace it. It's been so long I can't remember the procedure, but I think I got a customer service phone number off the box, called them, and they had me ship the bunk disc in and they sent back a replacement. That or I did a google and got the correct phone number that way.
As I remember it, the procedure was pretty smooth and I didn't miss the third movie all that much while it was gone. :p
