XP Pro SP3
FF3

I don't think it is on my end at all - Flash video playback is not as good as it used to be. Before I would see the darker bar growing to show how much of the video is loaded and I could play the video lag free, now I don't see the bar anymore and I have to stop once in a while to let the flash video not chug for a few seconds. Were there any changes made since implementing the new flash player? Things were much nicer when it first was introduced.

I agree that something has not been right lately. I embed some of the shows on my website and many of my visitors are complaining! They have gone to the site to find the videos to be nearly impossible to watch now, on my site and revision3. At first I thought it was a problem on my server. I sincerely hope that Revision3 fixes the issue. For now I am very concerned. The only choice I have really is to download the video files and have them run from my sites server, or just simply remove the videos and replace with other content and try to remember the good old days of the revision3 video's. But that does not fix the ultimate problem. All I know is that I have to do something. Revision3 has been the best thing to hit the web ever!! And the fact that they let us share their shows on private websites is beyond fantastic !! But !! The code is borked somewhere and it really needs to be addressed. It should not matter what browser a person is using either, any website MUST work properly on all browsers and platforms. If it doesn't, then it is a sign of poor coding.

I have not been able to even view shows anymore on this site at all. It just stays stuck in permanent non loading state.

Using Firefox 3 also.

The site works fine in IE though.

Well I hate to have to deal with this, but my admin staff has called for a meeting. The topic for the meeting is about making the decision to drop revision3 videos from our site. Please Please !!! give me some info that I can provide that will make them hold on for a bit longer !! What is going on at revision3 ?? why are all the videos now un-watchable?? Why are there times we cant even log on to revision3?? All I ask is for some answers from the staff. And I will say that I am not the only one asking for an explanation !! I am sick and tired of all the emails from my visitors demanding a reason why the videos are unwatchable ! And why they cannot even log on to revision3 sometimes.. Whats going on with you guys ??? I have to have something to tell my staff this weekend !! They are demanding action !! We may be pulling revision3 vids from our site this weekend..

Care to explain how exactly Revision3 shows are being used that require an "admin staff" to "remove" the shows?

I agree i prefer the older one that would load, esp with my bandwidth being crap.

must be cheaper for them to use the current one

Try flushing your cache on Firefox.

I noticed this as well and it's very annoying. What was the reason behind removing pre-caching? Now no matter how long I keep it paused, the video still lags.

I have also been experiencing problems with the Flash video within the last two weeks. Before about two weeks ago, I have been able to play Revision3 Flash videos on my system without a problem.

Basically, the video stutters when visiting other Web sites in Firefox 3.0.5 in another tab or window. This problem also occurs in IE7. Clearing the Firefox/IE/Flash cache, reinstalling Firefox, using another Firefox profile, uninstalling Flash, reinstalling the latest version of Flash, installing the latest NVIDIA graphics card drivers, installing the DirectX updates, disabling hardware acceleration in Flash, etc. does not solve the issue.

This problem also occurs with another computer I have tested, so I do not believe it is my system.

Also, Flash video from other sites, like http://live.twit.tv, http://cnet.com, YouTube, Hulu, etc. play without a problem. In addition, I have paused the video for about a minute to allow it to buffer, but it still stutters when visiting other Web sites.

System specs: Windows XP SP3, 1.5 GB RAM, 300 GB hard drive (117 GB free), Flash 10.0 r12, AMD Athlon 64 3500+, NVIDIA GeForce 6600

It seems that something changed regarding Revision3's Flash videos within the last two weeks.

To explain, I have a group "staff" that helps me with my site. I do not make the decisions myself. We feal it to be better to vote on any decisions concerning the website. It is a team effort.
