Has anyone checked out ComicVine (http://www.comicvine.com) yet? I just saw it on digg, it looks like the wikipedia of comic book heroes. Seems like a pretty cool idea. I really like the voting battles (http://www.comicvine.com/battle/rank/&itemId=1699&powId=34), it's the classic nerd talk kind of stuff..e.g. who would win in a fist fight without their powers, Batman or Wolverine? That kind of shit.

Okay I checked it out, it's not as comprehensive as wikipedia, but it has tons of comic covers!!

So I'll give it a thumbs up!!

Yeah, it looks like people are gonna have to add to it, just like wiki. On their front page they have a tutorial video that explains it -- I however didn't watch all of the video, haha.

Cool idea. But the contributors need to use the spell check. That and have a basic idea of english grammar. Other than that it's a nice site. Good find!

I havent browsed it too much, but I like the style of the site at least. I hope it gets better and more popular, though.

meh. not impressed. wikipedia is still the best resource for superheroes. comicbookdb is ok for writers. anybody got anything better for writers/artists?

I love the battles, although I'm not knowledgeable enough on my superheroes to vote. My first battle was superman vs. morbeus on super strength. Who the heck is morbeus? See, I'm clueless.

The Living Vampire. He's a Marvel character that's been in a lot of Spider-Man storylines. he's basically a good character (as in, not evil) but I havent really cared about him since I was a wee lad.
