So I've talked before about getting to see Brian again at the upcoming University of South Carolina show on the 30th. I'm an alumnus of the school and planned to make a weekend out of it, visit my college buddies, have a drink with Brian and hang out playing Rainbow 6 Vegas II with my friend.
Yet I contact the student affairs dept about the show and they explicitly tell me "The show is for current students ONLY."
WHAAAAT? No love for graduated cocks?? (you see, the mascot is the Gamecock..nevermind).
So I'm bummed. I'll be in Columbia, having a drink at a bar waiting for my friend to get off work, while Brian's puttin on a great show 3 blocks away.
Sucks. (EDIT: Sorry, before the rant started I was going to say "Verify that you can get to see him if he's putting on a show at your local college").

Yeah, if you want to grab a beer in the infamous 5-points let me know, I have friends who own a bar down there and will probably be hanging at their place. They also have food too, if you want a bite. There's lots of restaurants around for more traditional fare.
You still have my number? I have the one you gave me and the one for BB Live.

Sounds like it could be a scam school episode. "How to sneak someone into an event"

This may only be the policy of this particular school. But, It's a good idea to call ahead to see if the general public or Alumni are welcome.
I hope that Brian does a show near me very, very soon.

University of South Carolina (USC) - Aiken, not a problem, everyone welcome. USC - Columbia, NO ALUMNI ALLOWED!
I am less disappointed because I have seen him once before. But if I had driven an hour and was turned away at the door I would be PISSED!
Definitely call ahead and see if you can attend.

I saw BB at the live Diggnation in Brooklyn. Brian was really worth it. I left the Diggnation half-way through. I'm just old that way.
