Hey Zack and Dana, I liked the coffee french press section in this episode because I generally drink more coffee than tea myself. I've never used a french press so it was nice to see a demo of it in action.

My vote is for a little more coffee every now and then. But since I drink tea too I get a lot of good info from the shows.

Rock on
Jason.

When you use the french press is the idea to press hard on the grounds once they are at the bottom or to not put pressure on them at all?

The pressure of the liquid pushing down on the grounds should be enough to release the deliciousness. It's all preference. There's no right or wrong---experiment :)

Okay, I've had a french press sitting around for a few months now, but I had only used it for teas before. I finally got around to using it for coffee and I was blown away. I never ever want to go back to pot coffee again. I couldn't believe how much better and rich the coffee was out of the french press. It wasn't bitter at all, it had more flavor, it was really strong, and was better in just about every way. I am the type of person that usually puts a lot of cream and sugar in my coffee, but I found that even without it this coffee was drinkable(though I still prefer to have some cream and sugar). I can't believe I've been missing out all this time. I would highly recommend trying out the french press to anyone thinking about it.
