Award Season is upon us, which means that DannyT's parents are about to have their anniversary...

But, before big ole' Oscar, check out the Golden Globe Nominations.

Seems like Dreamgirls is getting tons of buzz (I don't know if it's warranted). And, I'm kind of bummed that the Prestige didn't get a nomination at least for Bale as supporting actor. But, overall it's a pretty nice range for an award show (Borat and Thank you for smoking! Rock on!)

Am I the only person bothered that they mispelled Happiness on The Pursuit of Happyness?

No, but here's the wikipedia explanation:
The word "Happyness" in the title has been taken from the misspelling of "Fun Joy Happyness" on a mural children have painted on the Chinatown daycare center where Chris Gardner takes his son, Christopher. When Chris points out the mistake, Mrs. Chu replies that it is not important to the pre-schoolers how the word is spelled, only that they have happiness. This leads Chris to contemplate the inclusion of the concept of the individual's right to "pursuit of happiness" in the Declaration of Independence, and how to pursue a happier, more emotionally secure childhood for his son, than his own had been.

Little Miss Sunshine was absolutely precious, and Carlin was excellent as the pervy ol' grandfather who taught his granddaughter to freak dance. :)

I'm less than impressed with the nominations...but then again, I don't really care about the Golden Globes.

Hopefully the Oscar nominations are a bit more deserving.

The Departed is all over the place.
Marky Mark better win. He stole every scene he was in.
I tripped out when I saw Leonardo DiCaprio listed twice.

Also I'm happy for this nomination, Michael C. Hall for "Dexter", but why wasn't the whole show nominated?

Wow, NBC Universal swept the male comedy... nice, I hope this means that NBC exec will hold off on their trigger finger before they axe some of the best shows on TV right now.

As anyone actual seen "The Queen" it looks really boring.

I hope Little Miss Sunshine wins best Comedy, Borat was really funny but I loved Little Miss Sunshine

Monster House was the best Animated easy - Thank You Geekdrome for the great review, I wasn't going to see it till that and I would of missed out my best film of the year.

It would be great to see Zach Braff win for best comedy performance for "Scrubs" and I would love to see Heroes win best TV Drama
