Alright, since noone else seems to have brought up the topic, I'll go ahead. Judging from the twitter traffic, it sounds like a healthy dose of loyal scammers plan on attending Brian's show tomorrow night in Edwardsville. Being the St Louis elitist that I am, I'm not really familiar with the places to go/things to do out there, so I'm open to suggestions. What I do know is that the event is the annual SIU-E Psychic Fair, Brian headlines, and is scheduled to go on at 10pm. Thoughts? Suggestions? #SIUBB if you're gonna hash tag your tweets.

Great idea on the #SIUBB hash tag. Couple of things to consider:
1 - it's super cool of the school to let in the SS fans, so I'm definitely hoping everyone will be on good behavior. (next month at SxSW, however, we can go freakin' nuts) :-)
2 - It's an on-campus alcohol-free event, but I'm ALL about heading out to a bar after the show. My flight isn't until noon the next morning, so I'm totally fine with hanging until we close the place out (I'm assuming bars close at 2am?).
3 - Try to keep me posted on how many non-student attendees we'll have. just a twitter shout to @shwood should do it, so I can manage expectations with the students running the event.
Can't wait to see you all!

I'm a student at SIUE. Here are the bars I know of and a brief description.
Shenanigans - Pop music, frat kids, stereotypically college bar.
Laurie's - Good music, middle of the road kind of place
Stagger Inn - Usually western and bluegrass music. Very cool place to hang out. Older people are there earlier in the night, college students later.
There is also a wine bar somewhere on the downtown strip, but I still vote for Stagger Inn. It is my favorite bar in Edwardsville.

Shouldn't that be called the Stagger Out instead? lol...

Ok, I would like to know WHEN the doors open, (would like to get a good seat). Also I have scanned a jpg that was faxed to me from SIUE directly showing HOW to get to where the show will be.
See attached jpg.

can't imagine why not.
BTW... do we have a consensus yet on the post-show meetup location?

It looks like Stagger Inn (with an amazing one vote... mine). All the good bars in Edwardsville are in stumbling distance, so if one doesn't work out we can always walk to another. I'll make it a point to catch you after the show and show you where we're going. (After Diggnation St. Louis you helped my dad and I find Schlafly's Tap Room, so I owe you one.)

FWIW, based solely on your descriptions here, my vote would be Lauries, but just because country music kinda makes me wanna jam forks in my ears, and not in some strange, yet safe, alternative version of the blockhead. But I'll restrain myself if that's what folks want to go with, cuz I'm a team player.

Hey, I love the stagger inn, but is it really the best meetup place after the show? they'll have a band playing so it'll be hard to really talk or interact to much, Shenanigans would really be the largest bar to get everyone access to talk and move around, btw twitter name is chrisbowman

My bro & his fiance & I will all try to come! I have class tomorrow morning at 8:30a, so probably won't get to go to the meetup afterwards (dang it), but we'll definitely try to make it over from St. Louis for the show!

I would vote for Stagger Inn...it is a cool place. Sorry, I couldn't make the shoot in San Fran last week (I just moved from the St. Louis Metro area out to Berkeley,CA), but I'll definitely make it in the months to come! Have fun at SIUE!

Didn't know if this was already discussed but does this cost anything? Is this a dumb question?

No, this is:
"If scientists really think we come from apes, then why are there still apes around?" - OH at a superbowl party (sorry to those following my tweets. This would be a retweet of myself).

I'm so mad at myself, I live in Edwardsville and missed this. I missed the St. Louis diggnation and now I missed this, I need to pay more attention to tour dates.

I found out about 2 days beforehand, I was psyched. I also missed the Diggnation in St. Louis because I'm underage.
