Well, because only on planet earth would a species base its numerical system by a factor of 10 that is tied to the rotation of its planet on its axis (and around its sun). Although every individual number has a uniqueness quantification, only a species like us humans would find the existential irony of 1,234,567,890 seconds.

Maybe they should move this forum back into the active shows? Seems like Prager and co want to continue with the Gazette, in some other form.
