Alex, Alex, Alex.
Kellogg dropped Phelps because of a conflict with their brand image. the fact remains they signed Phelps knowing good and well that he'd already had a DUI. This prompted everyone to call a resounding "bullshit!" on the company's hypocritical behavior.
So it's okay for Kellogg to endorse drunk driving but not marijuana use? which is more harmful? Can't we let an 8-time Olympic gold medal winner smoke some grass if he wants to? He won 8 gold medals, I think he's doing alright...

I think it came more of a thing when it is an illegal substance and Phelps is a user. He had a DUI, he might not have been out drinking every other night. The substance abuse however, was he did it after they signed him and it would be safe to assume that he did it more than once...
Winning gold medals doesn't give someone the right to break the law, Kellogg dropping him should be the least of his worries.

"Police police police police."
"Police police" is one noun, the first "police" being an adjective describing the police. These are people who police the police.
Police (adjective describing ->) police (noun) police (verb, what they do to ->) police (direct object).
That explanation makes sense in my head. Does it to anyone else?

I remember the saying from middle school:
"While had had had had, had had had had had."
(Read as "While Had.. had had..had, Had..had had...had-had.")

That that is is that that that that is not is not. <--all time favorite sentence.
PS - Also looking forward to the SXSW live show. Don't know how long you guys will be here, but if you get a chance, there is a bar in North Austin (I know, kind of far away from anything else, but it's worth it) that you should check out for a great selection of obscure beers. It's a lot like the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld, where there's no wait staff and you have to have your order ready when you get to the bar or you'll get skipped, but it's a great little place. http://www.draughthouse.com/

yes I get the adjective noun subject relationship in police police police, but how does it work with like 5-6 police
o wait ok so 'police police' can be used as a single noun..I'm getting it, but still 10 'police' is just taking the mick.
ps whoa police doesnt look like a word anymore

Hmm, doesn't sound like I missed anything. Then again since the show follows the content on Digg, guess I shouldn't be surprised. Later diggnation, it was fun for a while, but it's time to cancel my rss subscription.

What gets me about the whole bong affair... Michael Phelps smokes a bong, loses a sponsor, and is suspended from competition. A-Rod and others test positive to using a PERFORMANCE-ENHANCING drug to improve their PROFESSIONAL performance at work, yet no one is in jail, no loss of job... so which is the worse crime?
