I did some development for Android ... and its stinks.

I like the idea of a Netbook at the $100 pricepoint, but running Android on it is going to make it a fancier version of "Barbie's First Computer". There will be some slick apps available for it out of the box, but in the end it will be far more restrictive than having a "proper" OS on the device (and I dont mean Windows ... I mean any OS other than one intended for a cellphone).

Personally, I would pick one up though. I think it would make a great thin client into other systems around the house, or for hanging on the wall as a replacement to my hacked iOpener ... but as a netbook? It will tank.

I could care less about the os, it can be easily changed. Debian will run on almost anything.
