Alright So I just got a macbook pro and I have a few questions for you guys. A few more may pop up later but for now I just have a few.

First, Azureus....I am currently downloading one thing via torrent and I am only getting 1.8 kb/s with like 5 seeders and I know that cannot be right so theres my first question...What do I do to make that work?

Also, I am using parallels to run windows and when I try to download Guild Wars on it and then try and run it it says I need directx 8 and a proper video driver. Silly windows and it's drivers but I would really like to be able to play GW on it so anyone have any ideas on what I need to install or download?

Thanks a bunch,
Klitzy

Forward your ports again - and set it up to allow access through OS X's firewall - System Preferences > Sharing > Firewall > New > allow tcp and udp for the port Azureus uses.

and Parallels doesnt support native graphics yet - so running games doesnt quite work iirc. Your best bet for gaming is Boot Camp. Crossover Mac might work, but i dont think it'd go to well.

Alright...Is it possible to have both parallels and bootcamp on one mac?

You think that will be alright?

BTW...This slapbook stuff with virtue desktops is amazing

With the new parallels can't you use a Boot Camp partition with it?

Yeah, you can run both parallels and boot camp. And virtue started annoying me after awhile, but yeah - it is great :)

Yup saves the hdd space and you only have one windows install :)
