embedded player causes cursor to flickr during playback of content, whenever you move your mouse, on the video page or in other pages while playing back video

i've always had login issues, if i login via the forums, it takes me to the main rev3 page, i login there sometimes it works, and i use the community forums link and i'm logged into the forums no problem, (i do have referrer disabled) would that have something to do with it?

also, on occasion, Rev3 and only this site, crashes firefox, it seems, has anybody else had these problems? i've asked friends and they have the cursor issues at least...

vista sp1
firefox 3.0.6
flash 10.0 r22

i don't know why it does that, but i've had the cursor issue too.

here's a workaround/way to fix it sometimes:

hover your mouse (move around in circles) over the video, and then hover over the GUI (play button is fine) and once you hover over the GUI, quickly drag the mouse outside of the video, it should prevent the flickering most of the time.

it seems that the video player has an issue if you let the GUI disappear while the cursor is 'over' the video, because it makes the cursor disappear too.

Forum login problem is fixed for me in Opera 9.64. My cursor is currently invisible from an embedded rev3 video on ReadWriteWeb. I can just use RSS feeds and choose to never touch the rev3 flashplayer, but it's not great when its following me around the net. Any chance this will ever get fixed?

I've tested the player in a pretty sizable selection of browsers and OSes but cannot reproduce the cursor issues you guys are having yet. The cursor disappearing while the mouse is idle is intentional, but while it's moving it shows up perfectly steady as expected everywhere I've tried.

Can you provide some more details, such as your exact flash player and web browser versions, as well as what OS you're running on? Also any more details about what the problem looks like and exactly how to make it happen, if it doesn't happen all the time during playback.

I'm using Firefox 3.5 Beta 4, and Shockwave Flash 10.0.2.54 (according to Tools -> Addons -> Plugins), on Windows Vista x64.

The mouse is invisible whenever it's not moving, if I move it slowly, it results in a flashing effect. As I type this reply, the pointer is visible for a split second for every letter I type. Yes, this effect is cross-tab.

The cursor flickers when moved, hidden when still, until the page with the flash player is closed. The cursor should stay visible when its first moved. It used to happen in Firefox 3 on Windows XP but recently it stopped, might be Flash 10. Recent versions of Opera all have this bug on Windows XP, with both Flash 9 and 10.
