Does Diggnation shoot two/three shows at once?

I may be way off base here but it seems to me that a trend has developed whereby the shows are about topics that are a good 2 weeks or more old. I'm wondering if, because of Alex and Kevin's schedules, whether they tape 2 or 3 shows in a single day and then put them out over the following few weeks.

Often times, yes, we'll shoot a couple of shows at once (usually based on Kevin's and Alex's schedules since Kevin lives in SF and Alex in LA). When we do live travel shows, we usually take care of 2 episodes s during the trip (one the live audience show and the other a normal show). When we shoot multiple episodes, the 1st episode will have timely stories from Digg and the 2nd will have stories that are more evergreen.

since when was this news, it's been going on for a long time. I have no issues with it (as long as you guys don't intentionally rush through the show just to get another one done).

You can tell regardless of what stories they've chosen ;)

this is fine with me - they wont have to drink as much if it is all done in 1 day - no drinking every week if you already have a couple of shows done

I have herd them mention how drinking every week is becoming a problem for them so if this helps the show be better then I am all for it

They don't drink anymore anyway besides for live shows... and 1 beer because its a sponsor doesnt count.

I understand that the guys have a busy schedule, but the show is hurting because every other show is 2 weeks behind. This is one of the biggest reason all of these threads about diggnation going downhill were started.

My biggest problem would have to be the shortening of the show. They used to have something like EIGHT stories per show now they're down to 5 maybe 6. And the last one is always gimped now because of the new sponsor format. This is most likely due to the fact that they've been shooting back-to-back shows. Two hour long shows would be much harder on them than 2 half-hour shows.
