AU$409 (US$261) for Xbox 360 Pro 60GB with Halo Wars & Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts. Until Monday.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..........................
I already have a Wii and PS3. But this seems like a fantastic deal with two worthwhile games bundled in (best other deal I've seen was $449 with Lego Indiana Jones and Kung Fu Panda). Amazon has that deal (with LIJ/KFP) as US$299 by comparison.
Hmmmm.
Dammit. What to do?

That's pretty damn good considering Pro with two family games costs $300 (US). Here, you're getting a new $60 high-title game along with BK for a price that's basically a Wii w/ tax.
I would personally jump on it if you got the cash. Just make sure that the place you're getting it from is legit. There are plenty of sites that offer a PS3 for $199 or some other bull.

Oh, there's no problems with that. It's the biggest department store chain in Australia.

in this current economic outlook, i reckon you should wait it out for awesome games on your PS3, God of war, Heavy Rain, Dark Athena, CoD5(6), Bayonetta, KZ2 whatever.
or save it and start up a saving account for your kid's college fund etc.

None of those games really interest me, except perhaps Heavy Rain. I'm in a solid financial position, and next month I'll be getting $900 from the government stimulus package. I live at home and have no major costs of living. I am paying off my university HECS fees as I go and have no debt. Kids are unlikely.

If you got the money to spare id say go for it. Because if you dont get one now later you will probably regret it. My 360 gets far more use than my Wii, and my buddy's PS3 doesn't see much use either compared to his 360. Also hes addicted to Halo Wars right now (he wasn't an rts guy either) and says its great.

Well, I bought it. $379 all up with a couple of vouchers we had. That's US$243. A pretty good deal, IMHO.
Funny thing was there was another ad right next to the $409 deal that was $419 for the same system with BK:NAB. i.e. $10 for one less game. I pointed it out to the guy and said I found it kind of funny. The guy was like, 'Yeah I noticed that too'. I asked if he'd point it out if someone asked for the $419 bundle and he said 'Hmmm.... maybe'. I couldn't believe it. You're that much of a dick that you wouldn't tell someone about a far superior deal you have running just so that your company will get $10 more? Really!?

I need a bit of help setting up my network. It all worked yesterday during the initial setup procedure. Downloaded software update, downloaded Banjo Kazooie HD, added friends on Live. No problems at all.
This morning, I can't get it to work. I'm Xbox to wall via ethernet, wall to study via CAT6, study wall to splitter via ethernet, and then splitter to router via ethernet. Xbox doesn't recognise the cable when plugged into the wall. The Mac mini has an ethernet connection and sees it fine, but if I switch it from the Mac to the Xbox, it will see it but won't connect to the ethernet. I tried following some online help sites, and even tried internet sharing from my laptop, but had no luck.
Any idea what's happening, and any tips?
