On this weeks Celebrity Apprentice the task this week was for the teams to come up with a comic character mascot for Zappos.com. Before they presented their ideas the teams had a focus group come in. This group was composed of comic book geeks. While nothing significant happened when they met with the mens' team the meeting with the women had some funny moments, however their were also some where the geeks were looked down on. One included right after they left and one of the women said they were all virgins.
For those of you who saw it, what did you think of that encounter and for everyone, what does say about the public's image of geeks even with things that have happened recently in the world that have changed that?

Happened recently in the world? I don't get your meaning. Did I miss a world event? A geek war where we proved ourselves to be badass's?
Personally I couldn't care less. Those women on the show aren't exactly the bastions of culture or the guardians of social acceptance... to put it mildly.

Things like Hollywood grabing up as manny comic book franchisees they get and many times doing them justice. Or Rick Rolling becoming so popular that the Thanksgiving Parade took it up.

There were actually quite a few people from Image there. Ivan Brandon, Mike Oeming, Joe Kelly, Paul Azaceta, etc.

Yeah the view that the general population have on geek culture seem pretty hypocrytical, I suppose, but I don't really care about what happened on celebrity apprentice. I didn't actually see the show but there's no excuse for saying putting them down like that (assuming the geeks did nothing to offend the women), Calling them virgins, however, does not equal calling every single comic book fan a virgin.

i don't watch shows about washed up "celebrities" looking for 15 more minutes of fame
