I don't mean to be rude, I'm just enthusiastic about this beta project, so kinda wondering where it stands, as far as Rev3 is concerned.

I've bought a domain, preparing my own idea, setting up a set for my own project, rev3beta or not, but was hoping to submit to you guys anyway.

But it aint about me, necessarily, I just wonder if this project has been abandoned. Sure, you still post/update the existing ones initially chosen, (some of which don't seem to update regularly, if at all,) and that's cool.

My original thought about this project (and I could be very very wrong) is that Martin Sargeant and a few interns (who have most probably been rotated out by now) were "in charge" of it. Since Mr. Sargeant left, I really haven't seen much of anything change here. No promotion of the site, no requests for new ideas on your many tentacles, (mainsite, podcasts), No canceling of beta shows that aint pulling their weight or getting viewers, no promoting the succesful/better ones to rev3major, *cough* BBB *cough*... no additions of other new submissions...

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE this project, and don't wanna see it fall by the wayside. Not angry/trolling at all, just curious where it stands now, and where it's going.

sincerely, badger.

Yea I second that... just curious and would like to know what the plans are for rev3beta.

I sent them an email about this very topic last Sunday (3/8), but I've yet to get a response. If I get a reply back I'll post the response.

cool. I really think it's a great idea. for gods sake, Zack from BBB is staying at Brian's house for SXSW this week. And hanging with the rev3 gang this week. If that don't tell ya that rev3beta can get ya somewhere, nothing will.

Ya, I think the concept for Rev3beta when it was announce in August last year was cool too. I've been wanting to submit a show that I've been working on, but I haven't seen any change to the site since September when they released the first batch of shows.

I am also wondering about this. We shot a short video that I'm going to cut together with a couple clips from past episodes, but I don't want to waste my time editing and cutting it together if they're not reviewing submissions.

Same here. I've got 24 episodes of one video podcast and 2 episodes of another, either of which could be considered for Rev3Beta...but I don't want to spend hours putting together a clip for submission if it's not going to be looked at.

Since this doesn't appear to have been touched by Rev3 staff in some time, I'm thinking it's an abandoned project. That's unfortunate.

Official sources have let me know, it's still a go. So, go for it!

Still a go? But how long is it going to take? There hasn't been any promotion or incentive for anyone to submit their show since it came out.

Any of you here end up submitting and more importantly get a response of any kind?

We have gotten a few suggestions to submit to Revision3 Beta, but like most here I don't want to invest time into making a clip show if there is no plans on moving forward with the Beta programs...

Also, I don't know what their contracts are like (other than whats public) or if there are other underlying reasons, but BBnB should have moved up already.

OK, from all I can tell, this project is dead. Shall we even bother thinking about it anymore?

I was informed (as well as the other beta show producers I assume) that they (Rev3) were no longer able to fund the beta shows. They did say they would continue to publish the episodes on Rev3Beta.com (who knows for how long).

It's too bad they didn't do much to promote any of the shows. Maybe when Martin was let go, this effort fell into the corner.

All I ever wanted was a mention on Diggnation or any of the other popular Rev3 shows. I figured if I could get a fraction of their audience tuning it, I may be able to get a fraction of them staying tuned in.

I was also hoping for some quality constructive feedback from the other producers at Rev3. I know I have a lot of room for improvement, but I never had any feedback other than people in the forums (which was good).

So, all in all, I'm a little bummed about the whole thing. I had high hopes at the beginning, and maybe I just haven't done enough.

I'll continue to produce, just cause it's fun for me, and I have a small following that diggs it.

At the end of the day, if you can't pull in 30,000+ views per episode, you're not going to make it here.

They should re-route the JVshow's money to the beta project. ;)

Thanks. I'm guessing that's as official a "He's Dead, Jim" as we are gonna get. :p

Wow. Every show on revision3 pulls in 30,000+ viewers? That would be real transparency if we got to see the same numbers that revision3 got. Why don't networks allow you to do that? I mean...I think it would be awesome to see how many people watched diggnation one week as compared to TRS or co-op, etc. I am dying to see those numbers.

Makes me wonder: do you think Revision3 is having money problems behind the scenes?
